CANON UPDATE

As of 1/31, Adelis has canon updated, going from level 5 and fresh from Dreamworld to level 15.

This includes a multitude of changes, most of all being his change into a Dhampir. By all rights, he still has to eat and drink and sleep like normal people, but there are notable changes to both his physiology and body-

• While most vampires drink blood, Adelis has the need to feed off of Psychic Energy, in the form of emotions. Rather than biting anyone, this is done via mouth to mouth, so frenching kissing is the easiest method. For anyone he feeds off, it feels draining and will leave them in varying levels of exhaustion depending on how much he takes, but also heightens whatever emotion they're currently feeling. In CV, it's less of a visceral need and more of a compulsion that gets worse, but he's been the type to moderate himself regardless, so he won't be feeding frequently nor off anybody without permission. Once in a while to keep himself sane is fine, but he hasn't quite realized he's not in danger of a Vampirism Drop while here.

• He no longer needs to breathe, and unlike other Dhampirs, he also lacks a heartbeat. His blood still flows normally, however. Weird vampire shit.

• His canine teeth have sharpened despite his lack of need to drink blood, and his eyes are far brighter and have an eerie glow in the dark. He's also capable of seeing in the dark, seeing things in shades of grey in even the blackest of shadows.

• As a result of his extended stay in the tainted air of Koshevek territory, the death-ridden nature of the land has left it's mark on his body. His eyes seem sunken, rimmed with heavy black like someone who hasn't slept in weeks, and his fingers are stained a similar inky shade. Touching or scrubbing will reveal that the discoloration is permanent, but otherwise feels no different from normal skin. ( Examples of his newly blackened hands. )

• His shadow now tends to flicker and shift, if one pays close enough attention to it.

• He now tends to cover up more, in order to hide the scratch-like scars on his arms and the pinprick holes of a vampire bite on his neck. Fall is turtleneck season babe.
